Smart Partnership is a SME consultancy and engineering firm devoted to increasing the levels of efficiency and sustainability in cities by helping organizations and companies jump intelligently into a wide variety of ICT topics.
Smart Partnership helps cities make a difference in addressing the pressing challenges of a fast-paced and urbanizing new economy – security and transport issues, more ambitious environmental targets, increasing demand for mobility, tighter economic pressure, and rising consumption, among others. Their competitive edge lies on a solid expertise in most Smart Cities areas (Smart Building & Homes, Smart Grid, Smart Mobility, Smart Water & Waste, Smart Public Service, and ICT Platforms, among others), which allows for tailored innovative solutions to meet the needs within these domains.
Smart Partnership puts together frameworks, proposals and partners with a European dimension to promote better resource exploitation and enhanced citizen life. They ensure that the most appropriate programmes are selected to turn innovative ideas into proposals, and bring together balanced and complementary consortiums that can add individual value to projects through joined activities. Their extended networking capacities favor long-term collaboration between public and private research laboratories, small and large firms, financial intermediaries, schools and universities, and local, state, and federal agencies.
Smart Partners aim to leverage their knowledge and expertise of the ICT and Smart Cities sectors by contributing to ambitious European targets for better resource utilization, less environmental impact and higher social welfare. They achieve this through active participation in EU research, development and innovation (RDI) projects with a wide range of key industrial, academia and business partners, and have so far secured funds for two projects from two different EU programmes: the 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7) for District of the Future – a project aimed at delivering an open Big Data framework for energy optimization, and CloudOpting. At present, Smart Partnership is focused on developing equally successful proposals under the Horizon 2020 funding scheme.
